Product Care Instructions
To ensure your products from Queen Eboni Brand last as long as possible, proper care and maintenance are essential. Below are some tips to help you care for your wigs, hair extensions, and cosmetics.
Caring for Wigs
- Washing: Wash your wig every 10-15 wears, or when it feels dirty or heavy. Use a sulfate-free shampoo and lukewarm water to gently cleanse the wig. Avoid hot water, as it can damage the fibers.
- Conditioning: After washing, apply a lightweight conditioner to the wig, focusing on the ends. Avoid heavy conditioners that can weigh down the hair.
- Drying: Never wring or twist your wig to dry it. Instead, gently blot the wig with a towel to remove excess water, then place it on a wig stand to air dry. If using a blow dryer, use a low heat setting.
- Storage: When not in use, store your wig on a wig stand or in its original packaging to maintain its shape and prevent tangling.
- Heat Styling: If your wig is heat-resistant, you can style it with heat tools. Always use a heat protectant spray to prevent damage.
Caring for Hair Extensions
- Washing: Wash your hair extensions in lukewarm water with sulfate-free shampoo. Avoid washing them too frequently—once every 15-20 wears is usually enough.
- Conditioning: Apply conditioner sparingly to the ends of the extensions. Avoid applying conditioner to the roots, as this can weigh them down.
- Drying: Gently blot your hair extensions with a towel after washing. Never wring them out. Lay them flat on a towel to dry or hang them using a clip to allow them to air dry.
- Brushing: Use a wide-tooth comb or a detangling brush to remove knots from your hair extensions. Always start from the tips and work your way up to avoid tugging on the roots.
Caring for Cosmetics
- Makeup Storage: Keep your makeup products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent them from deteriorating.
- Skin Care: Use your skincare products according to the directions on the label. Always perform a patch test before trying new products to avoid skin irritation.
- Expiration Dates: Be mindful of expiration dates on cosmetics and skincare products. Discard any items that have changed in consistency, smell, or color, or that have passed their expiration date.
- Hygiene: Clean your makeup brushes regularly to avoid buildup of bacteria. Use a brush cleaner or gentle soap and lukewarm water to keep your brushes in top condition.
Product Sizing & Fit
Choosing the right size for your wigs and hair extensions is essential for achieving the best results. Below are some helpful tips on how to determine the perfect fit:
Wigs
- Cap Size: Most wigs come in standard sizes (small, medium, or large). Measure your head circumference to determine which cap size is best for you:
- Small: 21-21.5 inches
- Medium: 22-22.5 inches
- Large: 23-23.5 inches
- Adjustable Straps: Many wigs come with adjustable straps inside the cap to help you achieve a more customized fit. If the wig is too tight or too loose, simply adjust the straps to your comfort level.
- Ear-to-Ear Measurement: For added precision, measure from the top of your forehead (where your hairline starts) to the top of your ear and around the back to the other ear. This will help you determine if the wig will fit securely around your entire head.
Hair Extensions
- Bundles: The amount of hair you need depends on the thickness and length you desire. Typically, 2-3 bundles are enough for a full sew-in, but if you want a thicker or fuller look, you may need more.
- Clip-ins & Tape-ins: These types of extensions come in a variety of sizes. Be sure to measure the width of the area where you plan to apply the extensions and choose the right length and volume to blend seamlessly with your natural hair.
- Length: Measure your natural hair from the crown of your head to determine the length of hair extensions you need. For the best match, choose a length that is at least a few inches longer than your natural hair.
False Lashes
- Length and Style: Choose false lashes that complement your natural eye shape. We offer a variety of styles, from natural to dramatic, so you can choose lashes based on the look you’re aiming for.
- Trim to Fit: If the lashes are too long for your eyes, trim them gently with a pair of scissors to achieve a perfect fit. Start trimming from the outer corner, as this is where lashes tend to be the longest.
